Commiting suicide

I heard it on the news that 16 people in South Wales committed suicide in the last 12 months and all of them were under 17.
What makes a person commit suicide? I don't know, but I'm guessing 'lack of love'.
The moment we were born, we started craving for it, we got it somehow and that's why we're still alive, for someone out there really cared and went about his/her way to show it.
We the adults are responsible for their deaths, you, me, everyone who reads this blog who is over 18; we are the ones that let this happen. So invoked are we with our stupid work, our stupid desires our fantasies that we forget the little smiles that we smile, the little gestures in our talk, that little exchange of BTU's that would have made that dire difference in those lost lives.
A thing about suicide that I read in the scriptures, 'you will repeat it again and again, for another 7 lives before its trace can be erased from your soul'; so basically if you decide to die forcibly today, then you will kill your self again in your next life, again in your next life, again in your next life, again in your next life, again in your next life, again in your next life & finally again in your next life, before you get out of this terrible vicious circle.
Ofcourse the angels are out there working at thier best to make sure that everyday is as beautiful as it can be, but if you choose to close your eyes, then what can they do but to weep at the side of you where you will lay (dead).
I'm thinking it's actually painful, because leaving the physical body and manifesting in the casual is very hard, it's like waxing (come on ladies, i sure need your comments on this:-) only this time, the hair is your body, and the skin, your soul.
But away from the humor, who dare gave you the right to kill yourself,
your justification of a bad life?
80% of my continents population is under the poverty lines:
He wakes up early in the morning at about 5am and starts to cycle to the town centers for work; empty at the stomach and at times at the feet (bare feet), he peddles those rubber worn away steel peddles to his only source of income; while the wife sings lullbies as she starts work on her rain starved farm, probably illegally occupied; and why does she sing, is she happy or something, NO, its so that she wouldn't wake her child tied at the back while she ploughs the land; yet you say that you haven't got it the way you wanted it to be, and so you want to die; how dare you justify your suicide...
The man works 10 hours on some factory that barely meets minimum wage and eats a piece of roasted cassava for lunch for he knows he has to save the money for his children's school fees, their uniforms, their books etc. and starts to peddle back home; Only to be stopped on his way to be looted off and beaten at, for he resisted to let go of his hard earned money; why didn't anyone help him, well it was late at night. Yet he picks himself up after a couple of minutes & even though he has a couple of wounds or two, he makes it home and thanks God for letting him live; wakes up early morning again, OH BUT WAIT, why is he fit as a fiddle? What happened to his wounds, why the angels ofcourse; they worked on him during the night and now, come morning, he's ready to go; yet you say that you haven't got it the way you wanted it to be; how dare you justify your suicide....
The mother works again on the farm with her lulubies and her child but today, the elephants are trumpeting, they are looking for food, and before she can take in her breath to scream, they have up the roof of the house, trembled on their mud hut, and destroyed her crops/her hopes, she weeps silently for she knows that there's a child who will awake; dare if she were to make a different sound; yet you say that you haven't got it the way you wanted it to be; how dare you justify your suicide...
................. The story can go on but i'm limiting my self here..................
this is a reflection of how an ordinary being has his/her life lived here; and that's exactly my point, you've got to live; we hindus believe that you get one shot as a human being after passing through 84,000,000 incarnations in the animal/insect/reptilian kingdom (circle of life). Time has no meaning to the Godly people, for it does what they wish, but until you realize that you are Godly, it has its teeth chewing on you like a .... well; you fill in the blanks.
You have a a great gift; you; the human body; even the scientists confess that 'to make a human body from scratch would take 3 trillion dollars'. so you are worth that much; 3,000,000,000,000 Kablingis! Know it!

This just jumped at me; one can beget pain due to their past life's deeds, so:
'according to the scriptures, by visiting the temple of God in the early morning, sins committed during night are destroyed; by visiting the temple in the afternoon, all the sins committed in this birth are destroyed and by visiting the temple in the evening all the sins committed in past seven births are destroyed. Therefore, Shri Hari has instructed to visit the temple of God in the evening.'
PS. The title was purposely choosen so that someone intending to; might change his/her mind after reading this. And if you are a girl or a woman, let me asure you that there is nothing more dear then you on this earth, for you have the power to be a mother; not many are given this dear blessing.

For anyone contemplating suicide…Know that you Are Loved! Whatever you are going through will pass…As sure as the Dawn follows the Night, it will pass.
This is powerful. Now is the time to start teaching our children that you have to earn your place in this world and that being alive is a privilege not a right. What God has given you in the form of life is only a temporary thing and should be protected and nutured and matured.
Too many of our young ones have not been taught to appreciate the life they were given and so the pluck it out as they would the color candy they do not like. I believe that these children are not being taught how to love themselves and instead are being taught how to deal with others. Love for oneself is next only to the love of the Creator.
It's time to heal ourselves through them.

I only saw the pretty lady when I opened this page; and got to notice the skull only after reading your reference to it in the paragraphs.
Then I looked back at the picture and it took me some 40 good seconds to really “see” the skull.
Maybe I'm too connected with the GOD side of life to even notice, let alone be bothered by, the skull and poison side of life. This must be a good way towards achieving non-attachment.
That's right… you have God within you then, but beware; tests are given to the cleaver of students.
having known people who are or have been suicidal, while i appreciate the warm intent behind this, i'm not sure how effective it would be. in some cases, it might add to the feelings of guilt which are already too heavy. i think what people who are suicidal most need is to be listened to, deeply and completely, and loved unconditionally.
While “lack of love” is a good intuitive guess as to why people kill themselves, in fact it's much more complex. Some are loved very well but somehow are not connecting to that love. Many people are not well loved but somehow have a strong sense of themselves and no desire to suicide.
This is a huge area with many sections, sub sections and ramifications for society…

Intriguing explanation, mere bhaiya. I've heard the elder folks remarking after someone committed suicide that they were doomed to repeat the same act for seven more births. But what if the person becomes aware on the third lifetime…and resisted going down that particular path? I mean, can a person get out of a vicious cycle if they are aware that they are stuck in a cycle or does the cycle have to run its full course ….?
Sigh. I will be thinking about this…er…a lot…lol…or at least until some logical answer surfaces….
And if that doesn't happen, then there is always the GITA…. left especially for me from my faved, all-knowning Lord…

Yes, if one truely realises her/himself as a soul, away from the body and sees the world with the third eye then s/he will get the urge to committe suicide in the following lives, but will not committe it since s/he knows that pain nor pleasure can't touch her/his true self, the atma

Nicole : tell him to decide on a goal, it can be as simple as living for one day without remembering the past, and looking at nature
tell him to make a bigger goal and make him live for a month, (a good job, relationship etc)
tell him to make a bigger goal still, and let him live to see it come true within a year (a new house, a new car)
tell him to see his future now e.g 5 years from now, visualise it and remember it everyday untill he acheives it…

no, i don't think we had ever met before? did we in your last incarnation? i was very inactive last year because of my depression.
i think in general it's great advice but for this person in particular this is exactly what he is obsessing on. he can't make any goals for his life and he keeps kicking himself for it and many other “failures”

uh huh. he needs love, and sex would probably help a lot. neither seems to be really forthcoming in his life (except for my love, which has only afforded limited healing for him over the 25 years of our friendship). and he really wants to be connected to God. he has never figured out how… i talked to him a while yesterday, will try again today…
some time you are going to have to tell me what happened to you here instead of just teasing me with these hints…
