'Akshar Amrut'

Akshar meaning ‘Imperishable, Omnipotent, divine power’
Amruta meaning ‘nectar of indestructible nature, healing potion’

"The abode of God is superb, eternal, supernatural, blissful, vast and indivisible. I'll give a comparison: This world including mountains and trees on it and all forms of human beings, animals, birds etc. be made of glass and all the stars in the sky be suns and with all these the entire world looks beautiful. The abode of God is that beautiful. Devotees of God can see such abode in trance and they attain it after leaving the material body."

Lord Swaminarayan.

(don’t fear, you were wearing a heat shield while you were imagining :-)

On one fine day in the evening, Premanund Swami was singing a song of great tragic and sad posture, “Raheti Nati Haye Dheere Valam Veena” meaning ‘My heart cannot go on without my Lords sight’. Upon hearing this song repeatedly, the Lord decided to visit his quarters and sat beside him. The saint quickly changed into a new song “Aaj mare orade re…” meaning ‘the Lord thyself has come to my quarters’. He kept on describing with utmost detail and affection, the way the Lord looked, what he wore, and who he was. After completing the second stanza, Premanund Swami went into a deep trance and so the Lord took the pen and finished the song with his own hands.

Not occasionally does one get to hear that one is God, I shall write the words in Gujarati then translate its meaning in the next line.

Song name: Aaj mare orade re…
Verse 3-
“Bolya shri Hari re, sambhalo naranari harijana;”
“Mare eka varata re, Suyne sambhalavyanum chhe mana”
Then said Lord Hari, listen to me, my male and female devotees
I wish to tell you all a true story.

“Mari murati re, Mara loka bhoga ne mukta”
“Sarve divya chhe re, tyan to joyanichhe jukta”
My idol, my abode, my pilgrim sites & my faithful followers;
All are divine, and are blissful to all human beings.

“Marun dhama chhe re, Akshar Amruta jenun nama”
"Sarve samrathi-re shakti goonre-kari abhiram"
My abode, of which is called ‘Akshar Amrut’;
it’s a place of all capacity, full in abundance of energy.

“Ati tejomaya re, ravi shashi kotika vatane jaya”
“Shital shant chhe re, tejani upma nava devaya”
It's so full of light, one cannot put it into words.
It's so full of bliss & tranquility; one cannot put it into words.

“Teman hun rahun re, dwibhuja divya sada sakara”
“Durlabha devane re, Maro koi na pame para.”:
There in I stay, with a two-armed, divine body for all eternity.
So unfortunate are the demi-Gods and deities, none can climb up through my illusions.

“Jiwa Ishwer tano re, Maya kala Purusa Pradhana;”
“Sahune vash karun re, sahuno preraka Hun Bhagawan”
From the ‘single celled souls’ till all the ‘Gods’, ‘illusion’, ‘time’ and the ‘initiation energy’,
All are under My control, all are guided by Me.

“Aganita visvani re, utpatti palana pralay thaya”
“Mari marji vina re, Koithi taranun nava todaya”
An infinite number of galaxies are ‘created’, ‘sustained’ & ‘destroyed’.
Yet without my consent, not even a blade of grass can be plucked off the ground.

“Ema Mune janajo re, Maara asrita sau naranari”
“Men-to tama agale re, varta satya kahi chhe Mari”
Know me as such, all my fe/male disciples.
I have thus revealed in front of you, my true story,

“Hoon to tama karane re, avyo dhama thaki dhari deha”
“Premanand no re, Vhalo varasya amruta meha”
It’s because of your longing love for Me, that I have come on this earth from my abode, incarnated as a human form.
So sang the Lord of Premanund Swami, ever illustrating bliss in each verse.

Aaj mare orade re
Verse 4
“Vali sahu sa:mabhalo re, Mari varta parama anupa”
“Parema siddhanta chhe re, saune hitakari sukharupa”
Also hear this special narrative all My fellow worshipers,
It’s of utmost strength, and beneficial to all seekers of the truth.

“Sau haribhaktane re, javan hoya Mare dhama”
“To Mune sevajo re, tame suddha bhave thai nishkam”
Those devotees who wish to go to my abode,
then you should serve me with true purity and without any hidden desires

“Sau haribhaktane re, rahevun hoy Mare pasa”
“To tame melajo re, mithya panchavishay ni ash”
All my devotees, who wish to stay with Me,
shall undermine, all the destructible pleasures of the five senses.

“Muj vina janajo re, bija mayika sahu akara”
“Priti todajo re, jutha jani kutumba parivara”
Know that anything other then Me, are all illusive shapes,
please detach yourself from your family and relatives, knowing that they are illusive.

“Sau tame palajo re, sarve dradha kari Maran niyam”
“Tama para rijhase re, Dharma ne Bhakti karse ksema
All of you should steadfast My rules and regulations
then only will ‘Righteousness’ and ‘Devotion’ be the two wings that will bring you to Me

At this moment, Premanund Swami, comes back from his trance and said the following.

“Santa haribhaktane re, didho siksano upadesa”
“Latakan hathanan re, Karata sobhe natavaravesa”
so gave the Lord, a knowledgeable discourse to the saints and devotees,
so gracefully He explains with even greater hand gestures,

“Nija jana upare re, amruta varasya Ananadakand”
“Jem sahu ausadhi re, priti pose puranacand”
hence He showered His listeners with a tremendous amount of bliss.
Just as an antidote, his words will act against the poisons of illusion.

“Sobhe santaman re, jem koi Udyganama Uduraj”
“Ishwar udaya thaya re, Kliman karava jananan kaja
He looks so wonderful with his saints, like a swan followed by his flock.
God has thus incarnated to help us achieve our true objective.

“E pada sikhase re, gase sa-mabhalase kari pyara”
“Premanandno re, Swami lese teni sara”
Those who learn this verse, sing this verse or hear it sung, with love,
The Lord of Premanund shall surely look upon him/her with love.

Thank you so much for including the Gujarati as well as the English translation. I love to see what poetry looks like in other languages! And, while I read aloud the Gujarati (probably butchering the pronunciation in the process), it was a doubly enjoyable experience.
Much thanks,
N.

Would you consider explaining this more?

Is there an actual “way” to do this?

Or is it just in knowing …that God is the greatest love?

The family and the relatives….

The Lord Speaks in many layers…
THE family is our body and our senses; our children… we have to see to their needs and not their desires…

Our relatives are:
Uncle Mind
Aunt Inteligence
Grandma Imagination
Grandpa Ego

What the Lord was trying to say is that we (the soul) should detach from our family i.e. body's and sense's desires and also from our relatives i.e Not to follow our minds fancies, our limited inteligence, our wild imagination and our false ego…

I must confess i was a victim of this illusive entities; but as with time and rememberance of His words… i can safely say; i've detached from them…
I only Pray and follow His words…

Our family needs water…1.1 billion people didn't have clean drinking water today.

A child died every 5 seconds from lack of food, while we slept last night.

I am here to find water for the family seeds …they need to thrive….or there will be no grass to pluck, God says.

No time to worry about my own desires, wild imagination, or senses..we have work to do…
